Health and Wellbeing Support for You
At our school, we want to make sure you feel healthy, happy, and supported every day. Our Health and Wellbeing Lead helps look after all the different health professionals who come into school to support you.
You may meet different visitors who come in to help with your health, movement, communication, and emotional wellbeing. These might include:
- Wheelchair Services, who help make sure your wheelchair is comfortable and right for you
- Paediatricians, community nurses and health visitors, who check your health and help you stay well
- Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, who help with your movement, communication and everyday skills
- Mental Health Support Teams and CAMHS, who support your feelings and emotions
We are also very lucky to have our own team of specialists in school who work with you regularly. They help make sure you get the support you need through high‑quality activities and sessions. These include:
- ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants), who help you understand and manage your emotions
- Mental Health First Aiders, who can support you if you're feeling worried or upset
- Drama Therapist, who uses drama and role‑play to help you express yourself
- Music Therapist, who uses music to support your wellbeing
- Rebound Therapy, which uses the trampoline to help with movement and confidence
- Speech & Language Therapist, who helps you with communication
- Occupational Therapist, who helps you with everyday activities and skills
We also work closely with the Educational Psychology Service, who help us understand the best ways to support your learning and wellbeing.
