Avalon School

Welcome

Welcome to Avalon School

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Avalon School. Avalon School is a secondary special school for students with an Education Health and Care Plan. Students have a wide range of needs including Severe and moderate learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition and Profound and Multiple Learning difficulties.

Students can be placed at Avalon School from across Somerset, however, the majority of students are based within the Mendip area of the county.

In September 2021, Avalon School joined a Federation with Polden Bower School. Polden Bower school is based in Bridgwater. The schools working together will provide greater opportunities for sharing resources, facilities and expertise. The Federation is also working with The Bridge School, Sedgemoor. You can read more about the partnership under the 'Our School' tab.

I am pleased to welcome you to Avalon School as Executive Headteacher and hope this website provides the answers to your questions. If not, please do contact us for more information.
